President: Lithuania and Belgium are partners and allies, working together to tackle today’s challenges

On Monday, President Gitanas Nausėda met with King Philippe of Belgium, who arrived on a state visit to Lithuania. The president of Lithuania and the king of Belgium discussed bilateral relations as well as military, economic, scientific, and cultural cooperation between the two countries, said the presidency.

Nausėda pointed out that Lithuania and Belgium will be celebrating 100 years of relations later this year, but their cultural, diplomatic and economic ties go much deeper than that. The president underlined that this royal visit, joined by Belgian businesses and higher education delegations, will pave the way for exploring new opportunities for cooperation.
