Electricity price down by 3% in mid-October

On 10-16 October, compared with the previous week, the average price of electricity on the Lithuanian bidding area of the Nord Pool power exchange decreased by 3%, from EUR 209 to EUR 203 per MWh.

According to Lithuania’s electricity transmission system operator Litgrid, electricity price decreased because of lower price of natural gas, which returned to the level observed in early summer.
