Foreign trade deficit stood at EUR 666.5mn in August

In August 2022, exports of goods amounted to EUR 4.30 billion, imports – EUR 4.97 billion. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin amounted to EUR 2.61 billion. The foreign trade deficit amounted to EUR 666.5 million, reported Statistics Lithuania.

Over the month (August 2022, against July 2022), exports and imports increased by 13.3 and 10.2 percent respectively. The increase in exports was influenced by an increase in exports of oil seeds and oleaginous fruit (10.4 times), cereals (4.4 times), mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation (8.3 percent).
