Croatia to send troops to NATO multinational battalion in Lithuania next year

Zagreb is planning to send troops to NATO's multinational battalion in Lithuania next year, Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic Radman said in Vilnius on Friday.

"Our next planned deployment to Lithuania is in 2023," he told a news conference.

Croatia has twice contributed troops to the NATO forward presence battalion in Lithuania. It deployed a company of around 190 troops with Patria fighting vehicles in Rukla in 2018 and 2020.

According to Grlic Radman, his country will send a unit of the same sized to Lithuania next year.
