Conservative MP Juozapaitis to run for Kaunas mayor

The Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrat party (TS-LKD) will nominate MP Vytautas Juozapaitis as its mayoral candidate in 2023 municipal elections in Kaunas. The announcement was made on Thursday evening.

The MP’s candidature was endorsed by the Conservative party’s other mayoral hopefuls in Lithuania’s second largest city: Minister of Education, Science and Sport Jurgita Šiugždinienė, Minister of Finance Gintarė Skaistė and member of the TS-LKD Political Group in Kaunas Municipality Paulius Lukševičius.
