Defence spending will be increased by EUR 148mln in 2022

Funding of defence and national security will be increased by EUR 148 million this year after the Ministry of Finance updated its gross domestic product (GDP) projections for 2022.

By increasing funding, the Ministry of Finance aims to ensure that defence spending would amount to 2.52% of GDP and the country would fulfil its NATO commitments.
