Nausėda: UN’s role in stabilising the situation in Ukraine is crucial

President Gitanas Nausėda continues his participation in the United Nations General Assembly Session in New York. On Wednesday, the leaders of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia met with the UN Secretary-General António Guterres what has become a traditional meeting, reports the presidency.

The presidents of the Baltic States and Mr Guterres discussed the role of the UN in dealing with the consequences of Russia’s war in Ukraine. Gitanas Nausėda thanked the UN secretary-general for his leadership in the negotiations on the unblocking of Ukraine’s grain exports and in the efforts to achieve security at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
