Lithuanian and other EU legislators call for immediate suspension of tourism from Russia

On 25 August, Laima Liucija Andrikienė, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Seimas, together with the chairs of the foreign affairs committees of the national parliaments of Estonia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Latvia, Poland and Finland, issued a joint statement on the introduction of further sanctions against Russia and a ban on tourist visas for Russian nationals, stated the Office of the Seimas.

In the statement, the MPs urge the Euro-Atlantic community and its partners to urgently tighten and implement comprehensive sanctions against the Russian Federation, and increase military, financial, humanitarian and diplomatic support to Ukraine.
