Works of art selected for the exhibition entitled “Fire of Mysticism” have been lent by Shmuel Tatz, Alytus-born physical therapist from New York, the Alytus Ethnographic Museum said in a press release earlier this week.

In addition to works of art by Soutine (1893–1943), hailed as a modernist genius, and his friend Modigliani (1884–1920), the exhibition will also feature artwork by other Litvak painters.

The exhibition in Alytus will open its doors on September 1.
