In June 2022 compared with June 2021, industrial production increased by 2.4% in the euro area and by 3.2% in the EU.

In the euro area in June 2022, compared with May 2022, production of capital goods rose by 2.6% and energy by 0.6%, while production of intermediate goods fell by 0.1%, durable consumer goods by 0.6% and non-durable consumer goods by 3.2%.

In the EU, production of capital goods rose by 2.1% and energy by 0.7%, while production of intermediate goods fell by 0.3%, durable consumer goods by 1.1% and non-durable consumer goods by 2.3%.

Among the Member States for which data are available, the highest monthly increases were registered in Ireland (+6.7%), Malta (+4.8%) and Greece (+3.4%). The largest decreases were observed in Romania (-3.9%), Belgium (-2.2%), Italy and Latvia (both -2.1%).

In Lithuania, in June 2022, compared with May 2022, industrial production decreased by 1.8%.

In the euro area in June 2022, compared with June 2021, production of capital goods rose by 7.6%, durable consumer goods by 4.0% and energy remained stable at 0.0%, while production of intermediate goods fell by 0.5% and non-durable consumer goods by 1.1%.

In the EU, production of capital goods rose by 7.5%, non-durable consumer goods by 2.6%, durable consumer goods as well as energy by 2.4%, and production of intermediate goods remained stable at 0.0%.

Among the Member States for which data are available, the highest annual increases were registered in Ireland (+25.4%), Denmark (+25.0%) and Bulgaria (+17.4%). The largest decreases were observed in Belgium (-11.6%), Slovakia (-5.7%) and Romania (-3.7%).

In Lithuania, in June 2022, compared with June 2021, industrial production increased by 1.4%.
