30 migrants tried to access Lithuania illegally from Belarus

On Thursday, 11 August, Lithuanian border guards stopped 30 illegal migrants at the border as they attempted to access the country illegally from Belarus.

Latvian border guards did not allow 10 illegal migrants to cross from Belarus to Latvia on Thursday. Meanwhile, Poland thwarted 36 illegal border crossing attempts from Belarus on Wednesday.

According to the State Border Guard Service of Lithuania (VSAT), it prevented 3,963 illegal migrants from entering Lithuania from Belarus so far this year and 8,106 in 2021.
