Bomb threat made against Belarusian opposition’s event

On Tuesday, the police received an email with threats of bomb explosions in multiple buildings in Vilnius.

A bomb threat was also made against an event of the Belarusian opposition in Vilnius, the news agency ELTA has learned from spokeswoman of Vilnius County Police Headquarters Julija Samorokovskaja.

The email was received at around 10:35 with bomb threats against the Lithuanian Parliament, the Police Department, the Migration Department, the US Embassy and numerous other addresses, one of them hosting the conference New Belarus.

Police units were sent to search the buildings for suspicious items but bombs were not discovered.
