Illegal migrants did not attempt to cross from Belarus to Latvia on Monday, whereas Polish border guards did not allow 34 illegal migrants to cross from Belarus to Poland on Sunday.
According to the State Border Guard Service of Lithuania (VSAT), so far this year 3,365 illegal migrants were prevented from entering the country from Belarus.
The number stood at 8,106 in 2021, since 3 August, when the VSAT was authorised to turn away illegal migrants at the border, until the end of the year.
