MP Maldeikis noted that members of the organisation took part in Russian propaganda TV shows to spread disinformation about Lithuania and acted against Lithuania. In a Facebook post, the politician also said to have inquired whether prosecutors investigated how Paleckis established an organisation using an electronic signature while in prison.

News website Delfi reports that Erika Palšauskaitė Švenčionienė, who claims to be the head of the International Good Neighbourhood Forum, visited Moscow last week and took part in Russian propaganda TV shows spreading fake news about Lithuania.

According to Delfi, at the end of July, Švenčionienė was accompanied in Moscow by Darius Norkus, Mindaugas Ramoška and Edikas Jagelavičius, who had lead the Socialist People’s Front.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Justice stated at the end of July that the Prison Department carried out a probe and determined that Paleckis could not have used an electronic signature on a smuggled device to establish the organisation while in prison. Therefore, it is believed that another person used Paleckis’ credentials to sign the founding documents.
