Data published by Statistics Lithuania indicates that 964 people contracted the virus for the first time, 300 for the second time and 9 for the third time.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country has reached 1,180,648 since the outbreak of the pandemic. Currently, 16,334 people are ill.
The death toll due to COVID-19 in Lithuania stands at 9,207.
The average number of new daily cases in the last 7 days is 1,037. The incidence rate per 100,000 residents in the last 14 days is 460.2. The positive test rate in the last 7 days stands at 50.6%.
On Wednesday, 152 people were vaccinated: 45 with the first vaccine dose, 32 with the second dose and 69 with the third dose.
On 27 July, 20 individuals were hospitalised due to COVID-19 and now 114 hospital beds allocated for coronavirus patients are occupied. Six patients are being treated in intensive care units.
On Wednesday, 270 molecular PCR tests, 1,977 antigen tests and 175 antibody tests were performed.
