Data published by Statistics Lithuania indicates that 850 individuals contracted the virus for the first time, 248 for the second time and 14 for the third time.

The total number of confirmed cases in Lithuania has reached 1,174,481 since the outbreak of the pandemic. Currently, 12,396 people are ill.

The death toll due to COVID-19 stands at 9,197 since the outbreak of the pandemic. One fully vaccinated person from the age group of 80-89 years died on Thursday.

The average number of new daily cases in the last 7 days is 841. The incidence rate per 100,000 residents in the last 14 days is 363.9. The positive test rate in the last 7 days stands at 47.6%.

On 21 July, 187 residents were vaccinated: 44 with the first dose, 38 with the second dose and 87 with booster shots.

Fifteen people were hospitalised with COVID-19 on Thursday and now 112 hospital beds allocated for coronavirus patients are occupied. Five people are being treated in intensive care units.

On Thursday, 281 molecular PCR tests, 1,819 antigen tests and 129 antibody tests were carried out.
