According to Swedbank, Achema has significant importance for the country’s economy and the bank is willing to help it overcome current turbulence in the market and ensure a basis for sustainable growth in the future.

Achema’s CEO Ramūnas Miliauskas says Swedbank guaranteed such financing conditions that boost the company’s financial flexibility and provide an additional tool to continue the planned activities.

Achema exports its produce to tens of dozens of foreign markets, the main export destinations being France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Poland and the Scandinavian countries. The company, which has nearly 1,300 employees, is the major employer in Jonava District.

In 2021, Achema sold 2.23 million tons of produce and earned EUR 590 million in revenue.
