Data published by Statistics Lithuania indicates that 634 people contracted the virus for the first time, 153 for the second time and 6 for the third time.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country has increased to 1,166,944 since the outbreak of the pandemic. Currently, 7,853 people are ill.

The death toll due to COVID-19 stands at 9,185 in Lithuania since the outbreak of the pandemic. Three people, all unvaccinated, died on Tuesday. One was from the age group of 60-69 years, another from the 80-89 year group and the third one from the 90-99 year group.

The average number of new daily cases in the last 7 days is 493. The incidence rate per 100,000 residents in the last 14 days is 223. The positive test rate in the last 7 days stands at 42.1%.
On 12 July, 197 people were vaccinated: 38 with the first vaccine dose, 60 with the second dose and 96 with the third dose.

On Tuesday, 11 individuals were hospitalised with COVID-19 and now 92 hospital beds allocated for coronavirus patients are occupied. Three patients are being treated in intensive care units.
Yesterday, 229 molecular PCR tests, 1,330 antigen tests and 98 antibody tests were performed.
