The analysis has revealed four blocks of groups through which disinformation about Russia's war in Ukraine was spread. They differ in the level of pro-Russian rhetoric.

These blocs are linked through administrators and various authors to controversial figures such as Laurynas Ragelskis, Marius Jonaitis and the Lithuanian Family Movement, according to LRT.

Rimantas Janavicius, a man unknown in the public sphere, has been identified as the person behind one of the blocks linking 28 Facebook groups and pages.

The public broadcaster says that the creators of the network of disinformation disseminators are aligned with various movements and are spreading various conspiracy theories.

The network has been used for several disinformation attacks aimed at diverting the public's attention from the events in Ukraine.

The largest attack was carried out on Minfo's Facebook page a day after reports about the Bucha massacre emerged, according to the public broadcaster.

The network also includes a group of sects that operate on the same principles as similar movements in Russia. Some sects set up their settlements in Lithuania and do not recognize Lithuanian documents, it said.
