"Whatever we are doing, I am very aware that I wake up here every morning and we just border Belarus, and Belarus has borders with Ukraine and the war," the artists told reporters on Tuesday, adding that opening an exhibition during uncertain times is a very special thing.

According to the director of Marina Abramović Institute, Giuliano Argenziano, the exhibition will have a unique form – for the first time, it will be displayed as a spectacular video installation of the selected artist’s performance documentation and films.

In the exhibition, Abramovic’s works from the 1960s to the present day will be shown in detail. Visitors will be able to get acquainted with the documentary material, her artistic biography and interview, the famous Manifesto, and the unique creative method.

Open until July, the exhibition is one of the most important and ambitious events in the program of Kaunas, 2022's European Capital of Culture. Open until July, it will present key stages of Abramovic's work from the 1960s to the present day.

Also, Abramovic will give a lecture at the Zalgiris Arena on Thursday.
