Up until now, non-vaccinated and non-recovered persons entering Lithuania on non-carrier transport other identified cases and having no negative COVID-19 test result have been required to register for such a test within 24 hours from their arrival. They have also been able to undergo such testing at a mobile testing site. But as of Monday, people will have to have such tests done at their own expense by registering with an establishment carrying out COVID-19 tests.

From now on, crew members of all types of carriers operating international routes will also be required to have paid tests done if their stay in Lithuania exceeds 24 hours, as well as foreigners entering Lithuanian on special humanitarian grounds.

Border workers and people crossing the border between Lithuania and an EEA country, travelling for work-related purposes, as well as schoolchildren and people taking them to educational establishments, as well as higher school students and interns, will also be required to undergo testing at their own expense.
