The 50th anniversary of her activity will be marked at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas. On that occasion, Galdikas will deliver a public lecturer, meet with VMU representatives and attend a forum of the Lithuanian World Community, the university said.
On Thursday, the scientist will meet with VMU students from Indonesia.
On Monday, October 25, Galdikas will deliver a public lecturer at VMU's Center of Studies and Research.
This year marks 50 years since 1971 when Galdikas founded the first orangutan center in Indonesia where she continues her environmental activity to this date.
