The Polish president will visit Vilnius on Tuesday and Wednesday.
"The visit will be aimed at marking the 230th anniversary of the Constitution of 3 May and Mutual Pledge of the Commonwealth of the Two Nations," the presidential press service said.
The first sitting of the Presidential Council, established in 2020, will be held during the visit. It will focus on regional security and defense, bolstering transatlantic relations, fighting illegal migrants, as well as cooperation in the areas of the Eastern Partnership, economy, education and culture.
Following the council sitting, the two leaders will address the Lithuanian Seimas.
They are also scheduled to later attend an international scientific conference on the 230th anniversary of the Constitution of 3 May and Mutual Pledge of the Commonwealth of the Two Nations, and will also open an exhibition.
The Polish president will be accompanied by First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda. A separate program is planned for the First Ladies.
Signed on May 3, 1791, the Constitution of 3 May is the first written constitution in Europe and the second written constitution in the world, importantly, declaring respect for human rights.
