Lithuania's 14-day case notification rate has hit 795.5 per 100,000 people, which is the highest figure across the EU.

Estonia is second with almost 659 cases per 100,000 people, and Romania comes third with approximately 632 cases.

In terms of the 14-day death notification rate, Lithuania ranks 3rd with nearly 100 COVID-19 deaths per million inhabitants.

Bulgaria tops this list with 145 deaths and is followed by Romania with 108 deaths.

Poland fares the best among the EU/EEA countries monitored by the ECDC in terms of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants while non-EU Iceland and Lichtenstein both boast zero 14-day death notification rates.
