Having introduced themselves as Mohamad Wasim Hamid and Hamza Hayek Mahmud, the two men arrived in Lithuania from Belarus late on July 29 and, differently from the majority of migrants, did not ask for asylum.
They were later sentenced to 45 days in detention. They are the first migrants to be sentenced for border-crossing during this pandemic, the website pointed out.
