Ministers backed the proposal to authorized Health Minister Arunas Dulkys, who is in charge of state operations under the existing extreme situation, to order the Center of Registers to provide a national certificate printing service and "to be able to get other entities involved in the provision of this service".

The minister vowed to sign his order as early as today and to set rules for state and municipal institutions, establishments, businesses and pharmacies, i.e. "all entities that have agreements with the Center of Registers" to issue national certificates.

"But that would be voluntary, non-coverable and free of charge service," Dulkys said, adding that he has already been informed by the Association of Pharmacies that at least 800 pharmacies across the country could issue national COVID-19 certificates.
