State assistance to pandemic-affected businesses will continue, Health Minister Arunas Dulkys said.

"The majority of measures are being moved from the lockdown resolution into the emergency situation resolution. A lot of provisions, planned measures, and border control, and the regulation of business activity, and the regulation of public and administrative services," the minister said, presenting the decisions.

"There are very few changes in specific measures as we see a lot of risks. We have the Delta variant, we have been seeing a slowdown in vaccination. We are just adapting the legal regulation," he said.

Border controls will remain in Lithuania, as well as the existing regulation of business activities and services. Under the government resolution, people crossing the state border will still be required to provide documents to prove the fact of immunization against COVID-19 or a COVID-19 test.
