On Tuesday, she held a remote meeting with SpaceX representatives Matt Botwin and Diana Kelley.

"The Lithuania-registered company will be able to provide satellite internet services in Lithuania at the end of this year or early next year," the minister told journalists on Tuesday night. "It's good news for Lithuanian businesses, science, consumers who need faster internet, and for the whole of Lithuania."

Starlink Lithuania was established in early June. Starlink in Lithuania will mean better internet access in more remote areas, Armonaite said earlier.

There are currently more than 1,100 Starlink satellites in the Earth's orbit. The space internet connection network is planned to increase over time to 12,000 satellites.
