50 vaccination booths will be set up at the exhibition center's biggest hall No 5 and that will allow vaccinating up to 15,000 people in 24 hours.

Besides this center and policlinics, Vilnius also has another two major vaccination centers. The Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Simasius says the decision to open the LITEXPO vaccination center was made in response to the government's information about an expected increase in vaccine deliveries in the second quarter.

"We will have plenty of place and hundreds of thousands of people willing to get vaccinated, and we now just need the amount of vaccine to meet that demand. If necessary, Vilnius is ready to vaccinate not only Vilnius residents but also people in surrounding regions where vaccine rollout is stalling," the mayor said.
