Under the government's last week resolution, shops operating at shopping centers will only be able to work on working days and are banned on opening on weekends.

Economy and Innovation Minister Ausrine Armonaite underlined that all other stores that are already operating at shopping centers, including those selling food, vet products, animal food, flowers, orthopedic goods, funeral products, as well as pharmacies and stores having direct outdoor access, will still be able to open on weekends.

All reopening trading venues would be required to ensure a space of 50 square meters for one shopper or to serve no more than one person at a time.

Also from Monday, cinemas, professional stage art halls are allowed to reopen and hold outdoor and indoor events with spectators. The government initially considered limiting the number of visitors to no more than 50, but eventually decided to increase the number to 150. Participants will not be able to occupy more than 30 seating places in the room.

Later this week, outdoor cafes should be allowed to reopen, and gym will be able to do so next week.

All businesses allowed to reopen were closed in early November when Lithuanian was placed under the second lockdown.
