They were immunized among the first 75 seniors in the 80+ age group, Santaros Clinics in Vilnius said on Friday.

"I am glad that we have a possibility to take care of Lithuania's people. Specialists are experienced and do their job well, so it should not hurt for anyone," Adamkus was quoted as saying in the statement.

Another 216 seniors were vaccinated at Santaros Clinics on Friday, with immunization set to continue on Saturday.

There's no separate vaccination procedure for incumbent or former state leaders in Lithuania. All people are immunized according to the priority line set by Health Minister Arunas Dulkys.

BioNTech/Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines are used in Lithuania for anti-COVID-19 vaccination.
