"We have confirmed schedules. We could expect the first batch on February 7, if nothing changes," the ministry's Chancellor Jurgita Grebenkoviene told the national radio LRT on Monday.

The European Medicines Agency approved the AstraZeneca vaccine to vaccinate adult EU citizens last Friday.

The European Commission said on Sunday night the company agreed to up its vaccine delivery volumes for the EU by 30 percent from what it pledged earlier.

The representative of the Health Ministry said Lithuania does not official information on that yet.

Up until now, the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna vaccines have been used in Lithuania.
