Border guards warn: Latvia requires negative corona test from travelers

People travelling to Latvia must produce a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to their journey, the Lithuanian State Border Guard Service warned on Friday.

Latvia introduced the negative test requirement a week ago, it said, adding that the requirement to fill in special forms and to self-isolate on arrival in the neighboring country remains in force, too.

Enhanced controls remain in place at the six main border crossing points with Latvia: at Butinge–Rucava, Kalviai–Meitene, Salociai–Grenctale, Germaniskis–Skaistkalne, Obeliai–Subate and Smelyne–Medumi, according to the service.
