Presidential aide: pandemic may peak in 7-14 days

Experts' forecasts show that the coronavirus pandemic is likely to reach its peak in Lithuania in a week or two, an advisor to President Gitanas Nauseda said on Thursday.

"Rising infections last weekend have led to a downward revision in forecasts, but some peaks are visible on the horizon and if the quarantine requirements are observed, the pandemic may reach its peak in 7-14 days," Simonas Krepsta said at a remote news conference after meeting with members of the president-initiated Council of Health Experts.
