The association says July 31 is the last day of Zalatorius' employment. It is set to start looking for his replacement soon.

Zalatorius was briefly detained in early June after the country's law enforcement brought influence peddling suspicions against him. The investigation also involves Valdas Sutkus, the then president of the Lithuanian Business Confederation, who resigned in June and was temporarily replaced by Vice President Aidas Budrys.

Zalatorius has led the Association of Lithuanians Banks since 2017.
