Danish company to establish fish farm near Klaipeda

Danish company Pedersen Line plans to launch news activity in Lithuania and set up a fish farm in the Baltic Sea near the coast of Lithuania's western port of Klaipeda, the Verslo Zinios daily writes.

The trout farm should cover an area of around 900 square meters and would produce up to 3,000 tons of trout every year.

Pedersen Line does not have premises for its planned activity yet but is considering taking over the location of the bankrupt fish auction in Klaipeda. Until all necessary agreements regarding the premises are reached and the premises are installed, the company would bring in fry from its farm in Denmark.
