State Defense Council proposes to raise defense funding to 2.5 pct in 2030

The Lithuanian State Defence Council proposed on Tuesday to continue gradually increasing defense spending to reach 2.5 percent of GDP in 2030.
Živilė Šatūnienė, the chief national security adviser to President Dalia Grybauskaitė, said this after the council's meeting.
Lithuania's national defense budget this year stands at 2.006 percent of GDP.
